Swimming Lessons - Days 5-10

This morning we had our last swimming lesson. Elliott really enjoyed them--he was very sad when I told him this would be our last day. Today was "show-off day", which means that everyone at the pool watched as each child showed off the skills that he/she learned throughout the past 2 weeks.

Elliott's accomplishments: He is now VERY comfortable with the water. Going under the water is his favorite thing to do. He does not panic when put under the water--he can go under for about 10 seconds, and does not come up coughing, etc. Diving for toys was also one of his favorite activities. While the others in his class were diving for toys off of the steps to the pool, Elliott would ask to go to the deepest part of the pool. We still need to work on swimming. He can doggy-paddle for about 5 feet, but still is not confident enough to try on his own.
