Elliott went to the dentist for the first time this past week. No cavities (yeah)! He does have a cross-bite--likely from having the binky for so long. Dr. Velez said that he does not see a need to fix this as of now. If he still has a cross-bite at age 8, he will likely have an expander placed in his mouth. However, the dentist felt strongly that once his baby teeth are gone, his mouth will self-correct. He also noted that Elliott has HUGE adult teeth and a small jaw, which will likely require braces down the road. He suggested putting $1 a week away so that we can prepare ourselves for the cost :)
